Someone famous is sitting next to me...
RIGHT NOW!
It's Paul Varghese, the up-and-coming comedian. Intern Michael J. Mooney profiled him in Sunday's paper.
So far he hasn't said anything funny. I'm still waiting...

Mike or Paul? Anyways, I remember watching that guy on the first season of "Last Comic Standing." A lot of talent that year: Ralphie May, Dat Phan, and my favorite, Dave Mordal ("My dad took me on a cross-country road trip when I was 12, but we couldn't afford an RV, so my dad bought an old school bus. We could have sprung for the full-size, but no! My dad had to take the deal on the short bus!...It had no heat, so we put a potbelly stove in the center, but neither of us thought to bolt it down, so any time we went down a hill, I'd get hit with hot coals. Oww!")

Paul seemed like a pretty nice guy. He was a bit schocked to find I was playing the role of tony danza and not one of his comedian buddies, but it was fun playing around with it. Always nice to see Dallas comedy coming up big. Now if only we could get a little more representation on the Humor Me site. Come on Belo! Gimme a shot!

One problem with Kip remembering him with Ralphie May on season one: Paul was on season two. But his comic spirit surely preceeded him.
