You want directions from me? Sure!

I gave someone directions yesterday. This is a feat, being that I have only been in Dallas for a week now and got lost driving home on Monday.

Then again, the woman wasn’t asking for too much guidance.

“Excuse me, do you work down here?” she said.

“Um, yes, I do. I work down here,” I said cautiously.

“Where is the Hyatt?” she responded.

“Oh, I know that one,” I said with a little too much excitement. “It’s right there.”

I was, of course, standing on the corner of Record and Wood streets, near The Dallas Morning News. You can see the Hyatt from there. It wasn’t THAT hard. I was proud of myself nonetheless. And to top it off, I found my way back to the building today without a map.

It’s the little victories in life I celebrate.
