Training Day
So today was the day: CCI training. The class moved about as quick as one would on a Dallas summer day, and of course it was as riveting as watching grass grow during that same time. Fortunately, the program is really easy to use.
I went to lunch with fellow intern Mike Mooney (and I'll say this only once: We're not brothers). We met some older gentlemen from various departments, including Projects and Obits, and got to listen to them discuss the A-Rod scandal and the good ol' days.
It was really interesting because among them they have -- and they counted -- almost 100 years of experience here. Wow.
Well, I'm outta here because I'm getting a cut a break (which I'm assured won't happen too often) and get to leave now. I've also become keenly aware that between all the cakes and cookies and brown bags and free lunches that I better start taking the stairs to the 4th floor right away.
