Today, Lifestyles saved me from wasting money at the vending machine and provided cookies for the four interns. Although, the invite didn't say anything about giving a speech. Yeah, there's so much more I could have said. ...
But it was pretty awesome hearing about all the internships these pros have had. This being my first (I'm the Lifestyles copy desk intern, btw), it's good to hear about what type of experience it takes (or doesn't take) to get an awesome job. I can only imagine a time when internships didn't exist. Geez, in school they tell us, "Good luck getting a job without one."
... Kim just handed me my first paycheck. How exciting! I can pay some bills now! Should I open it, or wait till I get home?
