If I don't blog, you write about ME!
The brown bag today was very informative today and most of the interns were there, for a change. I'm not sure who made the comment about the subject of this blog but they definitely scared me into writing this. Also, I was trying to figure out who hasn’t been blogging besides me so we could use our collective peer pressure to make them start. Hey, I figure if I have to do it then everyone else should too. I have started doing a lot of portraits lately, like four in two days. I just received my assignment for tomorrow and guess what …. another portrait, but that’s cool I’m not complaining. I could be out getting soaked to the bone like everyone else.

Do you think some online folks are criticizing the interns who don't post (like myself)? If they are, I might feel pressured to post...

I wouldn't call it criticizing, but they would strongly recommend it otherwise. We might start to talk about your lack of posting. So to answer your question, yes, you should feel pressured to post.

Derek, you're too busy chasing supermodels in Tyler to write on this blog. Plus, it's your birthday.

Chasing supermodels? What desk is this?! I may want to transfer. Haha, kidding of course. I'm happy with my girlfriend and my desk here in Lifestyles.

This was my first brown bag lunch, and unfortunately I wasn't able to stay until the end. I had an interview with a police officer in West Dallas at 1 so i had to run.
I am also posting for the first time...Hi everyone!

Tonight as I read over the dallasnews.com site, I enjoyed reading the intern blog. As a 1997 intern with the editorial department, I have fond memories of the "brown bag" lunches with various experienced staff from the paper. Believe me, the insights and perspective you gain from them is of great value. Soak it up and learn as much as you can with the DMN this summer; I know you will look back on your experiences the same way I do. And if/when you receive critical mail (or e-mail these days) about anything you write, just take it as a compliment because at least people are reading what you write! Best of luck to you all...

It was me, I made the comment about writing about people if they didn't blog. I'm sorry, I really don't have that much time on my hands.
I won't write about you, promise.
