Everyday is Like Sunday
I felt the need to quote the great Morrissey for two reasons:
1) I just listened to At the Drive-In's version of "This Night Has Opened My Eyes."
2) Sunday, like has been previously mentioned, was the largest intern presence in the paper yet. Mike, Derek, Matthew, Tara and I (and some others, I assume) all had nice work.
And I tell you what, I can't remember a time when I've been in a better mood:
- My check was not, in fact, lost. It just wasn't ready for direct deposit.
- I'm ready to take this week's challenges head-on.
- And between celebrating anniversaries, watching old movies, and doing massive cleaning: I had a great weekend, even with few events (other than going to see 1408, which is a good, old-fashioned scarer by the way).
NONSENSICAL QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"Well, that covers a lot of ground. Say, you cover a lot of ground yourself. You better beat it - I hear they're going to tear you down and put up an office building where you're standing. You can leave in a taxi. If you can't get a taxi, you can leave in a huff. If that's too soon, you can leave in a minute and a huff. You know, you haven't stopped talking since I came here? You must have been vaccinated with a phonograph needle." - Groucho Marx in Duck Soup
MEANINGFUL QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"I felt as if I were walking with destiny, and that all my past life had been but a preparation for this hour and for this trial." - Sir Winston Churchill
