Downtown
I would definitely have to say that my favorite part of working here is being sent out on assignment. Not only am I getting pretty good at navigating Dallas, but I am also getting to attend a lot of interesting events and experience new things.
For my first article which i've already blogged about, I got to hang out with some cute little boys at a pretty awesome All-Boys camp. For my second story, about Sticks for Kids, a golf program for kids, I got to spend the morning on a sweet golf-course & was even given a key to one of the carts! Yesterday I spent the morning celebrating Juneteenth with an adorable group of preschoolers. At the end of the program everyone, kids, teachers, parents, and yes, us media, were up on our feet swaying to the beats of the African music. This story was my first centerpiece, so I'm super-excited about that.
So far, I've gone to three places I've never been before and would probably never go to on my own. This internship is definitely expanding my horizons!

okay so late commenting buuut... I totally agree! Being new to dallas, I didn't know anything about this city. Now, I love this city because I'm seeing all kinds of cool stuff. Not to mention it's kind of nice to just jump in my car in the middle of the day, take a drive, get something done, and relax on the way back...:)
