D Magazine shows off the competition

D just posted its interns here. Thought I would repay the favor and send some page views their way before the rivalry becomes bitter.

Give it about two weeks and there will be a tangible feeling of tension in the air. I just can't wait for the much anticipated softball game, in which we defeat their evil interns after a season of crazy mishaps and a silly training montage. The game ends after we unveil our crazy trick play and fool the D Magazine Demons (c) into striking out in the final at bat. Rated PG, opens August 3rd in theaters everywhere.

Given the female-male ratio on the D Magazine side, I have a feeling they are going to play small ball.

That just means we can pull in the outfield.

Softball? The number of interns they have in that photo looks like they could field a football team.

Have you seen Team America? Their montage sequence/song is hilarious. "Montage! (montage!) Even Rocky had a montage! (montage!)" Hoo-boy, this should be fun. Also, and I don't know why, I always have the urge to say "Hoo-boy" when I write something funny/interesting. I think I may need help with a finding a better phrase.

Ross, I think I spot a sibling of a former DMN all area football player of the year in the photo. If he came, that would not bode well for us. We'd need Josh to step it up, and he hasn't played football in three years.

If he's a Stafford, just pressure him from the blindside and he'll cough it up.

At least that's what the entire SEC tells me.

If you interns want to play softball, maybe DMN can manage to pull together a team. I'm still bummed that they canceled this year's league.

I'm all for a softball team

I am 100 percent behind DMN softball.

Matthew, I'm putting you in charge of recruiting Josh "Big Papi" Davis to bat clean up.

Wouldn't an overall, all-around journalistic Olympics (Think Revenge of the Nerds) really be more appropriate? I'm thinking Go-to-guy is in charge of choreographing the music and dance number.

Sounds good to me. I'm on it, Mike. Softball's not my strong suit. Now a winter biathlon, on the other hand...
