Are TB tests standard for interns?

speaker.JPG

Yeah, so I got a TB screening this morning. Apparently, if I want to "play" with the tigers at the Dallas Zoo on Tuesday for an assignment, I need to get a TB test. They don't want another Andrew Speaker. It was rather simple. Had shot in my right arm and was told to come back on Monday to see if a rash had formed, which, from what I understand, would mean that I have TB. Now only if I do develop a rash... that would bring a host of new problems. I've been around a lot of people lately, including on a plane last week. (I do have pea-sized red dot that seems to be growing near where I was pricked.)

To be honest, I'm more worried about the tigers mauling me than I am that I'd give the tigers TB.

"Oh no, I think the kid that tiger is mauling has TB. Quick, someone call a vet."
