Samir, no! Chyao, yes!
Words can't begin to describe my sadness and disappointment that Samir Patel, god's gift to vocabulary, was just eliminated in the fifth round of the Scripps National Spelling Bee. He apparently doesn't know how to spell the word clevis.
If Samir had won, he would have cemented a positition among the spelling bee greats, such as Dominc Ranz and Akshay Buddiga.
I'm still rooting for our representative, Amy Chyao.
