Intern schedule: Day 12

Today's schedule:
1) Editing a video story I did last week about two North Texas women who were supposed to be astronauts on the Mercury 13 mission in 1960. It was abruptly canceled. No official explanation given. The current news angle to it is that the 10 surviving Mercury 13 members were given honory doctorates from the University of Wisconsin - Oskosh this month.
2) Our first brown bag lunch is today at noon. Speakers will be Holly Yan and Jay Parsons, two former interns who are now staff. They will be pass out what they call the definitive intern guide, which lists fun activities for adventerous interns to do on the weekends or "sick" days. I'm from Dallas, as is Josh, so there will be little in the guide that I haven't heard of/already done. I still don't know what _____ this is.
3) Posting on the blog, which I'm determined to propel past the upper echelon of DMN blogs, mainly the Cowboys blog.
Comments
Matthew, If you don't know Whirly Ball, you don't know your "mostly young" crowd at The Dallas Morning News. As I recall, you rejected an invitation to partake last summer... Not sure I can handle another rejection.
